Basic Assumptions

There are some basic cultural assumptions I do not share, for example that silence equates to consent because in my case there can be no assumption that my silence means that I happily follow the line of argument but, rather, my default position is to be confused until later enlightened (hopefully). So it gives me a kind of "Personal Bar" that closely follows Estopell.

I do not assume that Mr means Mister as I regard that as a verbal corruption of the term, "Master" but, beyond that there is also the term "esquire" and both of these terms [Master and Esquire] are popularly considered to denote a juvenile status but in my view they are terms of seniority just as in Judo or Karate there is the White Belt (which is commonly misunderstood to mean novice).
