Well, I’m still driving my son to his little workshop and I am thrilled at the idea that for all these years I was doing my own alterations he was watching me and being fascinated by it. it is a great bond between the two of us even into his adulthood and he still asks for my advice here and there and I have learnt loads from him also. He really seems to value the idea of being my “carer”.
Its not so bad coz I get to see all my relatives and pick up ahgain on things with old childhood friends when we used to play on the Ballast Banking and even now I get a tremendous therapeutic “rush” from going there every day and just watching the sea.
Thden I have to bob back in again in to make sure he is keeping the place clean – with his allergies he should be dust free – but hey boys will be boys! Pleased to say that on that score Russ is now designing for laides as well which can be a bit awkward at times potnetially si its another good reason for me to be around of needed. I suppose I am a kind of director as Dad said. He gets fed up sometimes but practically speaking I get a olift down there from Russ and if I had to come back home its four trips instead of two and I dont think I could do that. Dont think he complains to much as he gets more time too…swings and roundabouts, as they say!
